The
latter half of Princess K'Gari's Fraser Island deals with various
aspects of Fraser Island that have shaped its contemporary history
and, indeed, the island itself - pastoral leases and the alleged subsequent
effects of brumbies; timbergetting; the reefs; the cause of numerous
shipwrecks; the building of the Sandy Cape lighthouse, moha moha monster
of Sandy Cape, the Fraser Commando School, a little known piece of
the island's history.
It also takes a look at the contempory and controversial history of
the management of the islands dingoes.. |
