Fraser Island Books by Author Fred Williams

Fraser Island books- 'Princess K'gari's Fraser Island - The definitive History of Fraser Island' by author Fred Williams is an outstanding account of the history of Fraser Island. Fred claims there are many deceptions on Fraser, perhaps the huge colour section and 300 odd monochrome historic photographs go a long way to support that claim particularly on page 190 where the earliest known dingo photograph shows in 1925 the dingoes were not lean at all. His latest release is 'Wangoolba Prince Amongst Dingoes', which evolved from Fred's life-time devotion to the world's largest island of sand and its purebred dingoes - the purest dingoes in Australia - Queensland and the entire world. They make essential reading and perhaps by so doing our knowledge of the past Aboriginal customs and some European ways will assist us to better understand and preserve their future in harmony with Fraser's unique environment. Management by the gun is unsustainable practice.
